The “underground” Bishop Vincenzo Guo Xijin was able to celebrate the Chrism Mass with most of the diocesan priests. The whole affair, exploited to raise doubts and criticisms over China-Vatican contacts, found a reasonable solution thanks specially to the local Catholic community's “sensus Ecclesiae”.
